About Destiny Espinoza
My passion for school counseling comes from wanting to be the counselor I needed growing up. I want to create a safe, welcoming space where students feel seen, heard, understood, and supported. I believe we never truly know what students may be experiencing behind the scenes, which is why early intervention is so important to me. I am especially passionate about elementary school counseling because it provides an opportunity to help students develop essential skills before challenges become overwhelming.
As a graduate student pursuing my Master's degree in School Counseling, my experiences working with TK–6 students have strengthened my passion for supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. Through individual check-ins, small groups, classroom lessons, and collaboration, I am continuing to grow as a future school counselor. Above all, I hope to be someone students can trust while helping them build the confidence, resilience, and skills they need to succeed.

School Counseling Philosophy
I believe every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported in an environment where they can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. As a future school counselor, I am committed to promoting equity, building meaningful relationships, and ensuring students have access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
I believe early intervention, prevention, and collaboration are essential to helping students develop confidence, resilience, and lifelong skills. By working alongside families, educators, and school communities, I hope to empower students to recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential.
