School Counseling Philosophy
I believe all students have the ability to grow, succeed, and reach their full potential when they are supported in a safe and inclusive environment. As a future school counselor, I am committed to supporting the whole child by addressing the students' academic, social and emotional needs. My approach to school counseling is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and advocacy. I strive to build trusting relationships with students, families, and staff while promoting a positive and supportive school climate. I believe in empowering students to develop confidence, resilience, and the skills necessary to overcome challenges. Through data-driven practices and intentional interventions, I aim to help to close achievement gaps and ensure that all students have equitable access to opportunities. I am dedicated to continous learning and growth as I develop my skills and prepare to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students.
